Restoring Purpose Counseling and Consulting, LLC was established to promote restoration and healing following a life disrupting event. Whether it be the traumatic loss of a loved-one or navigating exposures to other devastating circumstances, there are tailored evidence-based services available for individuals, families and small non-profit organizations.

Individual Counseling
Individual counseling entails honest and holistic interventions to assist in your journey towards healing and restoration. Special areas of focus include: recent trauma related to suicide loss or other life events, relationship and first-responder experiences.
Couples Counseling
Couple's counseling addresses the needs of couples, which can include individuals who are dating, married, co-parenting or any other pair of individuals attempting to partner or co-exist. Specialized experience with first-responders and their partners.
Individual Consultation Services
Consultation entails specialized evidence-based support for individuals navigating attempts to helping a loved-one. Specific areas of assistance include: Problem-solving, gaining awareness of available resources, and equipping with tangible strategies.
Small Non-Profit Consultation services
Consultation services for non-profit organizations will primary focus on assisting with implementation of evidence-based practices through mentorship, training and education. Specific areas of assistance include: Suicide awareness and prevention, along with support following the tragedy of suicide loss. Emphasis is on rural faith-based organizations.
About
I am Rachel, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a follower of Jesus. I started Restoring Purpose Counseling & Consulting, LLC in June of 2026 to combine Christian values with evidenced-based practices when it comes to healing and promoting a life worth living. Spending the last 2 decades in community mental healthcare, I know the challenges in locating support that combines both. I want to help bridge this gap.

What types of counseling services do you offer? Do you take insurance?
Christian principles are combined with evidenced-based practices specific to your needs. Some examples Approaches include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) along with Gottman Informed couples counseling interventions. Billing insurance is definitely an option & can be discussed during free consultation.
What if I am not a Christian? Can I still receive your therapy services?
Absolutley! While Christian values are the foundation for my work, I respect the many backgrounds and perspectives of others. If you come to me for help, I will do my very best to assist you. If I am unable to provide what is needed, I will help you find what and who that may be. "A new command I give you; Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." John 13:34
What should I expect during my first session?
I recommend attending a Free consultation to explore needs and expectations prior to scheduling an initial counseling or consulting session. From there, together we will determine if this is a good fit for your needs and desired outcomes.
Do you offer virtual counseling sessions?
Yes! Currently virtual is only option available with in-person session options coming soon to the Dallas County Missouri area.
